TRH Palmanova - Palma Nova

This one has some really funny reviews, it is a three star hotel with a 2.48 rating on TripAdvisor giving it a score of -0.52.  I for one am never going to Magaluff for a holiday after this one:

"In all my years of travelling i have never experianced such an alwful place. If any travel agency tells you that this hotel is suitable for families or anyone over the age of 25, i sugest you laught in their face!!! And i am not old
I was part of a hen group and we were assured that this hotel was in Palma Nova and was quite(biggest lie ever). The place was bedlam, from 4am every morning there would be screaming and shouting people banging on doors throwing bottles and running around naked, and i can assure you that the sites were not pretty.
Everynight people would ring security(one guy) to come and sort out the problem, but one guy can,t do alot. Most people were walking around sleep deprived.Management just shrugged their shoulders and said what do you expect. Saftey thats what.
The hotel was just down the road from the strip, where people were urinating in the streets, vomitting, and lying passed out in the road, i can say that it really made me feel proud to be British (NOT).
If you take speed, like a knocking shop, and are a yob this is the place for you, for everyone else stay well clear."

"Just back from here today and so relieved to be away from the place. Advertised as a family hotel.......18-30's riot hole would be more accurate. Totalled about 5 hours sleep over a week due to constant screaming, banging, foul language and chants both in and outside the hotel all night.
Huge St Bernard dog barks all night accompanied by a cage of boisterous chickens and a rooster!!
It is NOT in palmanova but on the main thouroughfare to "the strip" in Magaluf.
Anyone not part of a hen or stag party appeared to be spending their entire holiday trying to get a transfer.
On a positive point.......two great chaps there all day and evening entertaining the few children that were there....hats off to them!
My advice......dont go there unless you are prepared to take all of the above!"

"There were 3 of us in our 1 bed apartment but on arrival there were only 2 hand towels and 1 bath towel, i went to reception to ask for some more and was treated as though i had pinched them, and believe me why anyone would pinch them, they were stained and marked and had holes in them when we eventually got some, they were that bad we all purchased new beach towels to use and did not use the ones provided.
The bedding also was a little suspicious, there were stains on the pillowcases and the sheets smelt of biscuits!!!

The room was a mess the furniture was falling to bits, there was no kettle, the microwave was dangerous we turned it on once and it was sparking and smoking, the fridge was filthy there was what looked like coffee spilt down it, the floors were covered in hair, the bath had hair in it, the toilet was dirty, the shower curtain had what looked like vomit on it, the whole room had not seen a paintbrush since it was built which looking at it was in the 60s, and the balcony furniture well it looked like there was poo on one of the chairs!!!
The maid service was non-existent they came in every day and made 2 out of 3 beds!!! they never changed the towels or swept or did anything else other than make 2 out of 3 beds.

This was not just our room other members of our party had rooms as bad it was the whole place.

The outside of the building needs painting and the corridoors needed a good clean, in the reception next to the stairs is what used to be a big fountain this looks like it has been emprty for years it was mouldy and had been used as a rubbish dump by people to throw burgers and cigarettes in whilst on there way up the stairs.

We all hired safe keys and where given the same key and could open each others safes so this was pointless, anyone in the hotel who has a safe key can access every safe in the hotel!!

The pool area looked like you would get ill, the floor was disgusting and the sun beds were broken and very grubby, luckily we are beach people anyway."

"We had NO air conditioning, the cupboards in the kitchen area are hanging on by a mere thread, the bedroom curtains had graffitti on them and wouldnt close, the mattress had numerous stains on them, one member of our party had new sheets put on the bed that had holes in them, and when the matter was raised with the staff nothing was done to rectify it.

The wardrobe had a thin piece of wire stretched across, presumably to be used to hang your clothes on, also the doors to the wardrobe didn't close. Tiles on the floor had numerous cracks on them - some were missing. The facilities provided in the kitchen were like something from the Ark! The rooms were supposedly cleaned and beds made each day, even old dirty sheets were used to remake the bed...(and im talking 'monthlys' girls...ewwwww!!!)

The only 'nice' room was the bathroom, but even then you didnt quite know whether you would be having a freezing or boiling shower of an evening!

The area in which the hotel is situated in is pleasant - if pleasant is your idea of staying awake all night listening to drunken idiots shouting as they walk up the street (which is where our bedroom window faced) and trekking up a 'slight hill' which would make Ranulph Fiennes shake in his boots! My calf muscles are twice the size they were I swear! Honestly, at the end of the evening we dreaded having to walk it, added to that the risk of 'running the gauntlet' of people constantly hassling you to drink or eat in their establishments. "
